Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched the highly anticipated BE 6e, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards sustainable mobility. With introductory prices starting at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the BE 6e is set to redefine the electric SUV segment.
The BE 6e boasts a bold, athletic design with sharp contours and pronounced wheel arches. Its edgy silhouette and race-inspired agility make it a standout in the electric SUV market. The SUV measures 4,371mm in length, 1,907mm in width, and 1,627mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775mm.
The BE 6e is available in rear-wheel drive form at launch, with a 59kWh battery pack option.
The BE 6e is powered by a robust 59kWh battery pack, delivering an impressive range of up to 682 km on a single charge. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds, making it a thrilling option for performance enthusiasts. Mahindra has also announced that the BE 6e will support ultra-fast charging, going from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger.
The BE 6e comes equipped with a host of advanced features, including a dual 12.3-inch floating screen layout, a 360-degree camera, and a two-spoke illuminated steering wheel. The SUV also boasts Mahindra’s Auto-Adjusting HUD Vision, ambient lighting with 16 million color options, and an illuminated infinity roof synced to vehicle speed.
Connectivity is seamless with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, complemented by smart connected car features like cabin pre-cooling and scheduled charging.
Safety is a top priority for Mahindra, and the BE 6e is no exception. The SUV is equipped with seven airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite, and blind spot monitoring. Mahindra has also announced a lifetime warranty on the batteries for the first owners, with a 10-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty for second owners.
The BE 6e is positioned above the XUV400 and is set to compete with other electric SUVs like the Tata Curvv, MG ZS EV, and MG Windsor EV. Mahindra’s commitment to innovation and sustainability is evident in the BE 6e, which embodies the company’s vision of “Unlimit India” – an era where Indian innovation and design set new global benchmarks.
With its impressive range, powerful performance, and cutting-edge features, the Mahindra BE 6e is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market. As deliveries are set to commence in February 2025, Mahindra continues to lead the way in the transition to sustainable mobility.
