In a significant development, Wipro Ltd announced the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer(CEO) and Managing Director, Thierry Delaporte, effective April 6, 2024. Following his resignation, the Wipro board approved the appointment of Srinivas Pallia as the new CEO and MD, effective April 7, 2024.
Thierry Delaporte, who will be relieved from the employment of the company with effect from the close of business hours on May 31, 2024, expressed gratitude for his tenure at Wipro.
“It has been an incredible honour, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have played a role in the growth and success of Wipro,” he said.
He cited the company’s significant transformation during his tenure, which not only drove financial growth but also positively impacted associates, clients, and shareholders.

Srinivas Pallia, the successor to Thierry Delaporte, brings with him over three decades of experience with Wipro. He has served in various leadership roles, including President of Wipro’s Consumer Business Unit and CEO for Americas1. His vast experience and deep understanding of the company’s operations are expected to steer Wipro towards continued growth and success.
The transition marks a new chapter in Wipro’s leadership, with the company poised to continue its trajectory of transformation and growth under the stewardship of Srinivas Pallia.
