Sadhguru Underwent an Emergency Brain Surgery at Apollo Hospital in Delhi

Sadhguru Health

In the first week of March, Sadhguru, a renowned spiritual leader, began experiencing headaches. Despite the discomfort, he chose to neglect it, even performing at the Maha Shiva Rathri night on March 8. As the days passed, his headaches worsened, but he continued to disregard the symptoms.

On March 15, the pain became excruciating, prompting Sadhguru to seek medical help. A neurologist identified a large, few-weeks-old bleed in his brain and areas of new bleed. Despite the urgent advice for emergency admission and management, Sadhguru chose to attend the India Conclave Meeting instead.

Two days later, his condition deteriorated as he started losing consciousness and control of one limb. Upon readmission, a CT scan revealed brain swelling and compression of the brain against the skull. It was at this point that Sadhguru acknowledged the severity of his condition and consented to surgery. Thanks to emergency medical science and skilled surgical intervention, his life was saved.

This incident serves as a stark reminder that we are all human, susceptible to health crises, and that neglecting medical advice can turn a manageable situation into a life-threatening one. It was a grave mistake on Sadhguru’s part, and especially his advisors, to disregard the doctor’s advice.

Many of us who read this article, have learned the hard way that work should not supersede our health.

We hope for Sadhguru’s swift recovery and wish him the best. His experience underscores the importance of prioritizing health and heeding medical advice, a lesson we all should take to heart.
